(This is part of a series of prayers for my daughters. I want to pray for them on a more regular basis, and these prayers are a part of that. I hope you find them helpful as well.)
One of my biggest prayers for my daughters is that they will be loved and learn to love others. I want them to be surrounded by love, and know God’s love for them, all the days of their lives. I want them to express that love in a proper way, and enrich the lives of all with whom they come in contact.
“Lord, I lift up my daughter to you and ask that she would come to know Your great love for her. I pray that she would have the constant assurance of Your affection, and that she would realize fully your complete and unconditional love for her. I also ask that she be surrounded by the love of her family and friends all the days of her life. Help her to feel Your love for her through them; use them as very real expression and representation of Your love and care for her.
Free her heart to love even those who do wrong to her, or are mean and spiteful. Grant her so much love in her heart that it would allow her to do good things for them, in spite of their actions or attitudes. Help her to show evidence that she is a child of the Most High. Help her to love what is good, and cling to that. Help her to do no harm to anyone around her. May she always be sincere in the love that she shows for others.
Help her to be humble and loving to all those within her sphere of influence. Allow her to live out 1 Corinthians 13; may she be patient, kind and not jealous. Don’t allow her to brag or be arrogant, or to act in a way that is crude or vulgar. Help her not to be selfish, or vindictive. May she always rejoice in the truth, rather than seeking our evil or wrong. Make her steadfast in her belief, strong in Your might, hopeful in Your promises, and persistent in times of trials.
And increase her love for You, Lord. I pray that her love and devotion to You would grow, and she would always choose to walk with You and follow Your teachings. May she serve You with all her heart and with all her soul, always keeping your commandments and following Your teachings.”

I love this. The Lord I’ve come to know is kind, gentle and full of love. I hope my daughter can also know love, and to love fully and without reservation. Thank you x
