HCF – Happy, Calm & Focused

(I was given this product to try, in exchange for an honest review on this blog.  All opinions are strictly my own.)

I was approached recently by a company called The HCF Company to try, and then blog about my experiences with, a product called … HCF (Happy, Calm & Focused).

I had never heard of this product or company before, but I decided to give it a chance and see happens.  I have tried to learn more about supplements over the years, and the part they play in our health.  And I am always up for learning more, and achieving better health benefits.

According to one of the brochures I received from the company:

“Typical brain supplements and memory nutrients rely on high-dose ‘50-ingredients-in-1’ glorified multi-vitamins or just herbs to artificially give your brain a lift.  HCF supports naturally feeding your brain’s own neurotransmitters with what it is supposed to have – F&Q amino acids.  So you can stay at your best longer without fear of crashing.”

The F&Q amino acids that are referred to above are F – DL-phenylalanine and Q – L-glutamine.  More about those in an upcoming post.

So, what am I looking for in this experiment?

Well, I have a few areas in which I want to see some improvement, and my plan is to check in weekly to let you know about my progress (or lack thereof).  Here are the things I am going to be gauging in the coming weeks:

  • Sleeplessness – I often have problems getting a full night’s sleep. And sleeping soundly at night, when I do sleep,   I will be interested to see if this supplement will help me with that.
  • Memory Loss – I also have problems at times with memory. I think I am more aware of it than others are, and it’s more noticeable to me than to anyone else. But I still worry about it. I know it’s due to menopause … or peri menopause … or whichever it is that I am going through. Regardless of which it is, it’s caused by hormones – and since this supplement deals with helping your brain balance hormones, I am hoping to see improvement in this area as well.
  • Build up of stress over time – My current job can be stressful at times, as was my previous job. So I know work stress can build up over time and cause physical and mental challenges. This supplement promises to allow your brain to help your body deal better with stress.

So, as I said earlier, I will be trying out this new HCF Happy, Calm & Focused supplement and then posting about my results.  Stay tuned!
