So here we are, at week #3 of my trial of HCF Happy, Calm & Focused. I have been seeing some results, sometimes slowly – but I have seen results. Here are the links to other posts of the past few weeks:
HCF Happy, Calm & Focused
HCF Happy, Calm & Focused Week 1
HCF Happy, Calm & Focused Week 2
This week I am still continuing to see the results I wrote about in the above posts; things like increased mental sharpness, better memory, less stress, etc.
But this week I noticed another benefit. I am not sure if it can be attributed directly to the HCG Happy, Calm & Focused – but I am going to mention it, and then track it for the next week or two.
I weighed myself this morning and noticed that I have lost 2.5 lbs over the past two weeks.
Now that’s not huge, I know. Two and a half pounds is not much in the grand scheme of things. It could be attributed to just about anything.
But here’s the deal – I haven’t been dieting, or doing anything even close to dieting for the past two weeks. In fact, I just returned from spending the last 5 days traveling to, attending, then returning from my daughter’s wedding. And during that time, I ate more than I should have and didn’t make the healthiest choices. We ate at restaurants and fast food places on the day-long drive over there, during the 3 days there and on the day-long drive back home again. I should be weighing more now than I did two weeks ago – but I don’t.
Like I said, I don’t know if this is due to the HCF Happy, Calm & Focused – but I am curious to see if those results continue, and if there is a connection. Here’s why – our hormones control our weight. Our hormones control how quickly we metabolize nutrients, which leads to weight gain or weight loss. If hormones are out of whack, it often means that we gain weight or are unable to lose weight easily. That’s been the story of my life, it seems.
Our hormones are controlled by the hypothalamus, deep in our brain. The hypothalamus manages our entire endocrine system, and regulates our hunger response. It’s an essential part of the reason we weigh the amount we do! And the hypothalamus must have F-phenylalanine to function properly.
It seems like there’s a connection there somewhere. Maybe the more we “feed” the hypothalamus, the better regulated our hormones become, and the more we are able to establish a healthy weight. I am hoping that is the connection I am seeing myself.
